Exploring how mixing different media and disciplines can help create a personal visual expression.The Art of Mixing Things Up“I’m inspired by artists who move between disciplines and aren’t afraid to break rules. I like developing my own materials and techniques, finding shortcuts, or manipulating programs in weird ways to make them do what I want. I actually believe it’s a quality to be a noob sometimes.” Speaker – Laura RathschauLaura Rathschau is a multidisciplinary designer and artist trained in textile design at the Royal Danish Academy. She has also toured internationally as a bass player with bands like Junior Senior.Her work spans scenography, costume, art direction, animation and audiovisual installations for clients including Sónar, Teater Sort/Hvid, Cph Fashion Week, Kwamie Liv and Pernille Rosendahl. She moves freely between disciplines, mixing analogue and digital media to challenge her own visual language. Practical Information– We open the doors at 18:45– We'll also be serving refreshing kombucha and wine to keep the vibes flowing throughout the event!– This talk will be held in English.
