Described as “reminiscent of Motörhead to the gritty, pub rock ethos of the Cosmic Psychos” (Double J), “a kind of Midnight Oil from the gutter” (Visions), and “a roaring, hip-shaking concoction that comes with a splash of Radio Birdman, and a generous dash of Celibate Rifles” (The Age), C.O.F.F.I.N have carved a unique corner of Australian rock’n’roll. Their music nods to the rich and raw lineage of bands such as Coloured Balls, The Angels and AC/DC, while filtering it through their own Northern Beaches lens, exploring ideas around Australian identity, community, environmentalism, injustice and the country’s connection with the rest of the world.
